The Early Years Learning Framework

Learning.jpeg

Norwood Educators use the government prescribed Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which encourages learning through play. EYLF describes childhood as a time of "belonging, being and becoming". The programme will be created by building on each child's interests and abilities, this is done through observation and documentation which is shared with each family.

This secure online communication tool allows the teachers and families to:

  • Share information between us and you on the learning and development of your child

  • Understand your child’s interests and abilities so that this can be incorporated into the daily program

  • Create a portfolio of your child’s learning that travels with your child and can be accessed by you at any time

  • Share our own community culture and heritage

  • Provide feedback

Partnerships

Norwood Community Preschool is so named because it is a non-profit organisation
managed by the parents in conjunction with the Director, Educators and Administrative staff.
Our families are an integral part of our preschool community. This includes being involved
with our Management Committee, social events, and working bees.
We welcome families into our preschool to share their special skills, interests or cultures with us.
A great way to get to know people and to build community.
